Speargrass Flat House

An interesting project brief; after a fire damaged a house's living wing, a replacement wing was to be designed which reused the existing floor slab.  The roof form was changed to better take advantage of the views and sun orientation.  Similarly, the building fabric was revised to perform significantly better thermally. Changes in the way the building was articulated lent it a more contemporary aesthetic, without conflicting with the existing part of the building, and it has settled comfortably into the home's generous gardens.
