Jacks Point Black House

Sited on a south facing steep site in jacks Point, this multi level design steps back up hill.  This vertical orientation allows sun from the north to penetrate the building while, while generating views back towards Whakatipu Lake.  The house forms plays with this verticality and symmetry around the central access core and then book ends the house with chimney features.
